These Community Guidelines govern all users of PaJR Health Pvt Ltd. (the "Platform"), including Patients (individuals submitting health information), Doctors (registered medical professionals), and Volunteers. By using this Platform, you explicitly agree to be bound by these Guidelines. Violation of these terms may result in suspension, termination, or legal action.
1. PURPOSE AND MISSION
The Platform exists to provide a space where individuals can share health data in a conversational, narrative-driven manner. Users can receive information from qualified doctors and volunteers while contributing de-identified health data to broader public health research. Our community is built on the principles of dignity, accuracy, safety, and mutual respect.
These Guidelines apply to all users in India and the United Kingdom. They are designed to ensure compliance with applicable laws, including the UK Online Safety Act 2023, the Information Technology Act 2000 (India), consumer protection legislation, and healthcare professional regulatory requirements.
2. USER CATEGORIES AND ROLES
2.1 Patients / Data Principals
Patients or Patient Advocates are individuals who register to upload their patient's deidentified personal health data and seek guidance from doctors and volunteers. Patients must:
- Be at least 18 years of age, or have the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- Provide accurate and honest symptom descriptions to the best of their ability.
- Understand and accept that responses provided on this Platform may not constitute a formal medical diagnosis or establish a doctor-patient relationship.
- Not use the Platform as a substitute for emergency medical services. In the event of a medical emergency, call 999 (UK) or 112 (India) immediately.
2.2 Registered Doctors
Doctors are medical professionals who hold active registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK or the National Medical Commission (NMC) / Medical Council of India (MCI). Doctors must:
- Maintain current and valid professional registration at all times.
- Provide guidance consistent with their professional obligations under GMC Good Medical Practice or the MCI Code of Medical Ethics.
- Not establish themselves as the primary doctor through the Platform.
- Clearly indicate the limitations of their digital responses and recommend in-person consultations where clinically appropriate.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality in all interactions.
2.3 Volunteers
Volunteers are non-medical community members approved by PaJR Health Pvt Ltd. to provide general support, health literacy information, and signposting. Volunteers must:
- Not hold themselves out as medical professionals or provide medical advice.
- Clearly identify their volunteer status in all interactions.
- Refer patients to appropriate professional medical resources when necessary.
- Comply strictly with the Platform's volunteer training and conduct standards.
3. ACCEPTABLE USE — PATIENTS
What You May Do
- Submit honest, accurate descriptions of your patient's symptoms and health concerns.
- Attach photographs of visible symptoms where relevant, ensuring images do not contain identifiable personal information unless explicit consent is provided.
- Ask follow-up questions in a respectful manner.
- Provide feedback on the responses received.
- Request the erasure of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
What You Must Not Do
- Submit false, misleading, or fabricated symptom information.
- Upload content that is defamatory, abusive, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory toward any individual or group.
- Impersonate any other person, medical professional, or entity.
- Post content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Use the Platform for commercial solicitation, advertising, or spam.
- Attempt to identify, contact, or solicit other patients outside the Platform.
- Submit content that promotes self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or non-prescribed drug use.

4. ACCEPTABLE USE — DOCTORS AND VOLUNTEERS
Professional Standards
- All responses must be accurate, evidence-based, and consistent with current clinical guidelines.
- Responses should be clearly marked as general health information and not a clinical diagnosis.
- Doctors must recommend an in-person consultation where there is any clinical uncertainty or risk.
- Volunteers must clearly state they are not providing medical advice.
- Prescribing medications, controlled substances, or issuing medical certificates through the Platform.
Prohibited Conduct
- Establishing a formal doctor-patient relationship without the patient's full informed consent and strict compliance with applicable telemedicine regulations.
- Disclosing patient information to any third party not involved in the patient's care.
- Providing responses while impaired by alcohol, drugs, or other substances.
- Engaging in any conduct that could bring the medical profession or PaJR Health Pvt Ltd. into disrepute.
- UK Compliance: Doctors should refer to the GMC's guidance on remote consultations and the Telemedicine Guidelines of the UK.
- India Compliance: Doctors must comply with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020 issued by the Board of Governors, NMC.
5. HEALTH DATA STANDARDS
Users acknowledge and agree that:
- Health data submitted on the Platform will be de-identified and made publicly available in anonymised form for research and public health purposes.
- Personal identifiers will be removed prior to any public disclosure.
- The Platform is not liable for any re-identification of data that results from information you voluntarily choose to include in your submission beyond what is reasonably required.
- You must not include sensitive financial information, passwords, or government identification numbers in your symptom descriptions.
6. CONTENT STANDARDS
All content submitted to the Platform (including symptom descriptions, comments, images, and communications) must:
- Be in English or applicable regional languages supported by the platform.
- Not contain profanity, sexual content, or graphic imagery unrelated to the medical query.
- Not contain hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Comply with the Online Safety Act 2023 (UK) standards for user-generated content.
- Not violate the IT Act 2000 (India) provisions regarding obscene, defamatory, or harmful content.
7. ENFORCEMENT AND SANCTIONS
Reporting Violations
Users may report violations of these Guidelines by contacting [email protected]. All reports are treated confidentially and will be investigated in good faith.
Sanctions
The Platform reserves the right to take the following actions in response to violations, at its sole discretion:
- Issuing a formal warning to the user's registered account/group.
- Temporary suspension of account access (1–30 days).
- Permanent termination of the account without refund of any fees.
- Removal or editing of content that violates these Guidelines.
- Referral to the relevant regulatory body (GMC, NMC, etc.) for professional misconduct.
- Reporting to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law.
Appeals
Users who wish to appeal a sanctions decision may submit a written appeal to [email protected] within 14 days of the decision. The Platform will respond within 30 days, and the Platform's decision on appeal shall be final.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
By submitting content to the Platform, you grant PaJR Health Pvt Ltd. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, and display your content solely for the purposes of operating the Platform, de-identifying data, and making anonymised data available for public health purposes.
You retain ownership of your original content, subject to the aforementioned licence. You must not submit content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party, including copyrighted medical literature, images, or proprietary information.
9. MEDICAL DISCLAIMERS
- The Platform does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any health information provided by doctors or volunteers.
- The Platform is not responsible for any action taken or not taken by a user in reliance on information obtained through the Platform.
- The Platform does not endorse or recommend any specific treatment, medication, or healthcare provider.
10. SPECIAL PROVISIONS — MINORS
The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has submitted information to the Platform without consent, they should contact us immediately at [email protected], and we will delete such data promptly. In India, parental consent is expressly required for persons under 18 as prescribed under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023, Section 9.
11. AMENDMENTS
The Platform reserves the right to update these Guidelines at any time. Users will not be notified of any material changes and a general notice may be put out on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Guidelines.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These Guidelines are governed by the laws of England and Wales. For Indian users, applicable provisions of the IT Act 2000 and the DPDPA 2023 shall apply concurrently. Disputes shall be subject to the dispute resolution mechanism set out in our Terms of Service / Licence Policy.
